Tout d'abord, YouTube Music remplacera Google Play Music d'ici décembre 2020. Après cette date, leurs bibliothèques Google Play Music ne seront plus disponibles.
Transfert simple et modifications supplémentaires dans Music ManagerÀ partir de la fin du mois d'août, les utilisateurs ne pourront plus acheter et précommander de la musique, ni importer et télécharger de la musique depuis Google Play Musique via Music Manager.
Pour s'assurer que les utilisateurs ne perdent aucun de leur contenu, ils devront utiliser un
outil de transfert pour migrer leurs achats vers YouTube Music ou
Google Takeout afin d’exporter les données et télécharger leur musique achetée et téléchargée. Lorsque le Music Store ne sera plus disponible, les utilisateurs pourront continuer à télécharger sur YouTube Music tous les fichiers de musique achetés ailleurs.
Pour les utilisateurs de Google Play qui n'ont pas encore commencé le processus de transfert vers YouTube Music, c'est le moment.
